Ear Infection Allergy Profile (MHD107)
Allergies can frequently contribute to ear infections. This profile evaluates 15 allergens, including several common foods and environmental allergens frequently found in the northeastern United States.
Anyone who has chronic, recurring ear infections. Symptoms of allergies, which can lead to ear infections, include:
- Runny nose
- Itchy, red or watery eyes
- Nasal congestion
- Itchy nose, roof of mouth or throat
- Postnasal drip
- Sinus pressure and pain

Total IgE and the following specific IgE allergens:
- Corn (maize)
- Egg white
- Fish (cod)
- Cat dander
- Alternaria alternata
- House dust mite (D. farinae)
- Common ragweed
- Timothy grass
