Herpes Virus Test (MHD1605)
This test evaluates your exposure to the herpes virus. Herpes is one of the most common viral infections. There are two common strains, herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) and herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2). Both strains can be highly contagious. HSV-1 causes cold sores and HSV-2 causes genital lesions.
Anyone who thinks they may have come in contact with the herpes virus. This virus spreads through direct contact. Some people have no symptoms while others get sores near the area where the virus entered the body (mouth or genitals). These sores turn into blisters and can be quite painful.
