Facts About Heart Health

Listen to Your Heart

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. Uncontrolled high blood pressure is a leading cause of heart disease and stroke. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), more than 67 million Americans have high blood pressure. If you haven’t had your blood pressure checked lately, you should consider getting it checked.

Beyond having your blood pressure checked, we offer heart health tests for anyone who is concerned about heart health or who has risk factors for heart disease such as:

  • High blood pressure
  • High blood cholesterol
  • Diabetes and prediabetes
  • Smoking
  • Being overweight or obese
  • Being physically inactive
  • Having a family history of early heart disease
  • Having a history of pre-eclampsia during pregnancy
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Age (55 or older)
