Chlamydia Test (MHD1600)

Use:

Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI). This urine test screens for chlamydia infection.

Recommended For:

Anyone who thinks they may have come in contact with this bacteria during oral, vaginal, or anal sex with an infected partner. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that sexually active women under the age of 25 be tested for this common STI once a year. 

Both men and women can get this STI. It doesn't always cause symptoms, but when it does it causes a burning feeling during urination and abnormal discharge from the vagina and penis. Left untreated, chlamydia can rarely lead to infertility for both men and women. 

If this test comes back positive, you should follow up with a health care provider for appropriate antibiotics.
