Egg Allergy Test (MHD1415)
This test will determine if you are allergic to eggs. Allergies are a result of your immune system's response.
Anyone who thinks they may be allergic to eggs. Although egg allergies frequently develop in childhood, they can develop at any age. For some people, allergic reactions to eggs can be serious. Symptoms of an egg allergy can include:
- Abdominal pain, cramps, nausea and vomiting
- Difficulty swallowing
- Itching of the mouth, throat, eyes, skin or any other area
- Nasal congestion or a runny nose
- Shortness of breath
- Anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening reaction that impairs breathing and can send the body into shock
If this test confirms you are allergic to eggs, you may want to follow up with your primary care provider or an allergy specialist.
There is no preparation for this test.
