Nut Allergy Panel (MHD106)
This test will determine if you are allergic to eight of the most common nuts frequently found in food.
Anyone who thinks they may be allergic to nuts. Although nut allergies frequently develop in childhood, they can develop at any age. For many people, allergic reactions to nuts are very serious. Symptoms of a nut allergy can include:
- Abdominal pain, cramps, nausea and vomiting
- Difficulty swallowing
- Itching of the mouth, throat, eyes, skin or any other area
- Nasal congestion or a runny nose
- Shortness of breath
- Anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening reaction that impairs breathing and can send the body into shock
If this test confirms you are allergic to nuts, you may want to follow up with your primary care provider or an allergy specialist.
