This test will tell you if you are pregnant. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone produced in the body during pregnancy. This test measures the level of HCG in the blood.
Recommended For:
Any female who believes she may be pregnant. The HCG hormone appears in the blood and urine of pregnant women as early as 10 days after conception. HCG levels rise quickly during the first trimester of pregnancy and then decline slightly. HCG levels can also be used to determine the exact age of the fetus. This test can also diagnose some pregnancy abnormalities, such as ectopic pregnancies and molar pregnancies.
If this test comes back positive, you should follow up with a health care provider.
